Join us at 10:00 a.m. on February 10th at the Madison-West Campus when Globe University presents the Health and Wellness Career Preview Day. This is a great opportunity for students, teachers and guidance counselors to learn more about Globe University and the various Health and Wellness degree programs available to students.
Our day will begin with a free pizza lunch and is followed by five break-out sessions. The interactive sessions are designed to inform students about coursework and career opportunities in Medical Assisting, Medical Administrative Assisting, Massage Therapy, Health Fitness and Health Care Management.

Break Out Sessions
Health Fitness Push, Pull & Squat Mechanics: Students will learn mechanics and proper body positioning for pushing, pulling and squatting motions. The instructor will utilize tools such as TRX Suspension, kettle bells and other state-of-the-art equipment in this demonstration.
Microbiology Laboratory: Students will be introduced to basic clinical microbiology used in Medical Assisting today. Students will use microscopes to view specimens and learn the vital role of a Medical Assistant in a laboratory setting.
Phlebotomy & Injection Laboratory: Students will be taught how to find veins, draw blood and give injections. Students will then have the opportunity to practice on a phlebotomy training arm made of synthetic material.
Massage Therapy & Palpation: This break out session will teach students the history and techniques used in massage therapy. Students will have an opportunity to participate in a palpation exercise and learn self-hand massage techniques.
Administration and Management Discussion: Students will learn about management and administrative positions available in healthcare today.
