Technology has drastically changed the way we communicate. The other day, I discussed the use of text messaging lingo and acronyms in our daily communication. I would like to see how everyone communicates.
There are many different methods of communicating. These include face-to-face, email, phone, text, and social networking. There may be more that I am unaware of.

In my opinion, text is the easiest and quickest way to convey short messages but its inappropriate for a business relationship or to send a text to someone you do not know very well. For those cases, emails and phone calls are a more acceptable form of communication.
I think it is best if you can talk to someone face to face or over phone. Email typically does not allow for a back and forth conversation, and texting is too informal. Phone is an alternative when face to face is not an option because it allows for professional back and forth conversations. Problem solving and critical thinking occur best with a back and forth conversation!
Only approximately 30% of communication is verbal, so much is lost through electronic communication. Due to this factor an extremely high amount of electronic communications are misunderstood as they lack inflection. It is more efficient in business to communicate by email to organize an operation but ultimately meeting face to face builds a report and a functionality that cannot be obtained by any other means.
