Music Business students and Thee Evil Creatures are teaming up to give back to the
community. Don’t let the band name fool you- 100% of proceeds from their latest song, “Don’t Ever Antagonize The Horn” will be donated to the Metro Meals on Wheels. The local charity’s mission is to, “…lead the effort to make sure people in our community receive the nutritious meals and the human connection they need to help them live
independently” (http://www.meals-on-wheels.com/).
Thee Evil Creatures (http://thee-evilcreatures.bandcamp.com/) is a rock band managed by MSB student Joe Huttner. MSB instructor, Kate Galloway’s Artist Management class is promoting the single/fundraiser, and Music Business Program Chair Chris Hinding’s Advanced Audio class produced a 1 minute viral video to promote the song.
The song can be downloaded from Bandcamp for $1. Donations of $20 include a tee shirt, the single and a ticket to the band’s upcoming CD Release show. Thee Evil Creatures
are also donating proceeds from a live show performance on Tuesday September 25th at Minneapolis Club, Honey. http://www.honeympls.com/events-calendar
“Giving back to the community is something that is important to us and Metro Meals On Wheels is a great way to help those in need.” – Adonis (Joe Huttner).
MSB Music Business students have a history of utilizing their time and talents to fund raise for a cause, dating from the 2006 Sugarfoot Music albums, Cabooze Benefit shows, Jazz for Japan and the recent Celebrate Women In Music event. Students and faculty are excited to be collaborating once again to give back in their communities.
