Greetings BC Students!
Often times when I meet with new or continuing students, I hear them state how being on their collegiate career path is a very exciting thing! However, with the excitement sometimes it can be overwhelming, in particular the aspect of where to look in terms of financial help. Let’s face it. For the majority of us (myself included when I was a student), unless you’ve won the lottery, money is an issue for almost everyone going back to school. One important thing to keep in mind is to remember that scholarships aren’t just for young students. Many are available to older students, working moms, and non-traditional students of all kinds. Search online for scholarships, including FASFA (Federal Student Aid); ask Brooklyn Center’s Financial Aid department what kind of financial aid they offer; and check out the following links, which are a great starting place:
